The New Ballroom

Don't be confused by the name!

The New Ballroom is so called as being completed in 1916, it is a good twenty years newer than the Old Ballroom, which now houses the Bella Union Bar.

The New Ballroom has had a colourful history including a stint as the studios of radio station 3KZ, the first commercial radio station in Melbourne.

Supplied as a 'Black Box' with staging flats, seating racks and an inbuilt sound & light system, the New Ballroom is ideal for a range of theatrical situations.

Located next to the Bella Union bar the New Ballroom is able to be accessed directly from the main Lygon St Portico.
